FREE e-book "8 Things to Know About Veterinary Care"

April 6, 2011

Knitting is saving my sanity in these stressful days when I’m buried by deadlines, steeped with family medical worries, and overwhelmed by bad news in the world.

However, I’m incapable of knitting simply to knit, so one of my grown nieces (who is due with her first baby in June) and one of my writer friends (who is due with her second pretty much any day) became my focus. The babies that is.

I had not done any clothes yet, only things like purses and towels and blankets, so I figured small clothes might be the best place to start.

Pretty cute, yes?

About the Author Roxanne Hawn

Trained as a traditional journalist and based in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, USA, I'm a full-time freelance writer for magazines, websites, and private clients. My areas of specialty include everything in the lifestyles arena, including health and home, personal finance and other consumer interests, relationships and trends, people and business profiles ... and, of course, all things pet related.

I don't just love dogs. I need them in my life. Seriously.

  1. The sweater is very cute, I’m sure one of the new babies will look very nice in it.
I hope things will look up for you soon. Take care!

  2. Very, very cute! My mother is a big knitter but I never caught on. I think you have found some excellent therapy!

  3. Wow – very impressive! I don’t knit but have always admired people who do; they seem to have the patience and perseverance I lack for a project like this. Maybe it would be just the thing, though, to take it up and escape from the world’s woes for a few hours. Very therapeutic, I know. The baby who gets this sweater will be a very lucky one!
