FREE e-book "8 Things to Know About Veterinary Care"

October 9, 2007

Here’s an update on my pal Don’s new border collie puppy, Indy. This week, she’s 6 months old. And … man, is she cute.

If you need to catch up on Indy’s story, check out the tale of her trip home from California.

Otherwise, here’s about all you need to know … Indy is a very smart girl. I met her in person a couple weeks ago. She totally gets that the word “Ready” means fun stuff is going to happen between her and Don. She’s very alert, very attentive to his wishes. She’s also a darn good tugger, already.

This is her as a tiny one.

I’m glad to see it since Blip has some of the same issues Lilly does. Lucky for Lori, he’s got enough drive to overcome it in the ring, and she’s done great work to help him learned impulse control everywhere else.

So, that’s the news from Team Hansen. Watch for the whole crew — Rusty & Blip, Baily & Indy (who’s also known around our house as Don’s Go Girl). It’s enough to give an already struggling team like me and Lilly a complex.

  1. I’m glad to help. Don’s strategy was amazing. He learned it from someone else, so it’s nice to pass it along. Congrats on the new baby. Sorry to hear about her origins, though. I’m glad she and her mommy got out of there.

Do send photos and update. I’m happy to post them for everyone to see.

  2. Thanks for the update (and especially for the link to Indy’s homecoming adventure). It is quite timely – this Sat, I’m flying to pick up my new baby (a Cairn pup born to a just-rescued puppy mill Mom) and the flight will be long with a plane change. Don’s checklist of supplies and successful trip tale was quite welcome. Good luck to him and Indy, the new kid in town! Pam (and Charlie and Quincy, eagerly awaiting their new sister)
