FREE e-book "8 Things to Know About Veterinary Care"

January 31, 2009

As a kid, I watched football with my family. As an adult, however, I found and married one of very few American men who doesn’t give a rat’s behind about sports. He doesn’t watch them. He doesn’t care. He dives for the remote when sports reports come on TV news. All that is fine by me. So, these days, about the only things I enjoy about football are the famous Super Bowl commercials. So, in honor of this weekend’s big game, here’s a quick plug for our Border Collie friend Jeffrey’s latest commercial.

He’s such a great boy. He sometimes gets canine acting gigs for TV or whatever.

Below is a link to his latest work. His mom (

Cathy Lester. whose artwork I sometimes tout) wanted me to share that Jeffrey had to be on set for 6 hours. Yep. 6 hours for this tiny little glimpse of him sitting near the family on the sofa. They filmed him doing all kinds of things, but ended up only using this.

Jeffrey’s role in a new Dish Network commercial

For those who remember, Cathy is the one who advised me on handling Lilly for her first on-camera interview in early May 2008. It was an interesting experience, but as I pointed out a while back, they never used our footage, so it was all for naught. Ahhh, well.
