While freshening up before going to book club on Sunday, I noticed that Lilly sat mesmerized by something outside the master bedroom window. It’s usually a bunny or something, but yesterday … she sat perfectly still for the longest time. I’ve always loved the concentration on her face. It’s a quiet intensity, with just a hint of excitement rumbling under her skin.
I finally walked over to see what she spied.
The young buck was actually facing her when I first looked, but he heard me make a dash for the camera and turned away from us.
Still, it’s a cute picture. He’s grazing on our tiny patch of real grass in the little park-like, garden space we have off the front stone patio.
And, clearly, these are some of the old windows … not the new scary ones that terrify Lilly.
