While paging through a Harry & David catalog, I came across a new chocolate truffle called the Dark Poodle Truffle. It’s a rich, dark chocolate yummy with shaved chocolate curls attached. So, I guess it kind of looks like a poodle. It got me thinking — What if they made truffles based on other breeds?

Border Collie Truffle
The perfectly square truffle features a honey-coated almond, nestled in a bed of chocolate cream, then dipped in both dark and white chocolates.

Entertain me, please, with your canine candy concoctions. I could use a laugh since … Lilly’s Grandma (my mom) took a tumble down some stairs Saturday.

  1. An airedale candy would have to be black and tan and sort of boxy, so how about a square caramel half dipped in chocolate?

  2. The Australian Shepherd Truffle

The oblong shaped, dark chocolate truffle with a trace of red hot chili pepper is known for it’s bite. Not a quiet truffle, it finishes up with a loud, red-hot explosion to your senses.
