I could write another long report about how today’s visit is going, but videos tell so much more. Tom brought Kaite over around noon, and since things are going well enough, we pretty much left all three outside to their own devices. We check on them now and then, and everyone is happy and fine. We let all three poke around INSIDE the house, and Katie seemed nervous, agitated, even though Lilly and Ginko were totally fine with it. So, they’re back outside. More info later.

Cripes! Having technical difficulties, trying to embed both videos. Please stand by.

I don't just love dogs. I need them in my life. Seriously.

  1. She is getting braver about approaching him in play. At one point, she snagged his purple dumbbell and was racing around outside. He seemed bummed that she took it, but he did not challenge her right to have it.

She did better the second and third times we let her in the house, but I still had trouble getting her to just lay down, even though all three were exhausted.

Mine were totally sacked out, and she was pacing around.

  2. They’re starting to look like a happy group. I think that this could work out really well.

In the first video, it looks to me like Katie wants to interact with the ball and Ginko but keeps chickening out and coming back to you. The fact that she wants to and makes small moves to try is awesome. I bet that she and Ginko are going to end up being great friends.

I wonder if letting Katie inside by herself for a while would be a good start. Then, you could add one of the other dogs at a time. Just a thought…

  3. Looks like you’re making great progress–I admire your patience so much.

They look very handsome together, too, these three black and white critters.
