Adverse Vaccine Reactions – Crunching Numbers at Home
Yesterday, I shared what research I found about the rarity of serious, neurological adverse vaccine reactions like what Lilly suffered earlier this year. Today, a bit of a riff and a rant on my own “data.”
Indeed, in the scientific literature, I ONLY found tiny, tiny references to other dogs developing neurological issues after receiving a vaccine. Yes, I found ZERO references to exactly what happened to Lilly.
I’m no wizard with numbers, but here is how it looks at my house after:
- Spending nearly $9,000 spent (so far) to save Lilly’s life
- Having daily care-taking duties for her
- Feeling awful about not knowing this was even possible
What’s the incidence rate of meningoencephalomyelitis / meningoencephalitis (inflammation of the brain and lining of the brain and spinal cord) after a rabies vaccine?
- 50% of the dogs currently living in my house
- 25% of the dogs I’ve owned in my adult life
I’ve been through a lot of difficult situations with my dogs over the years, including cancer, parvo, rattlesnake bites (two of them), major orthopedic surgeries … to name just a few.
But, this experience BY FAR has been the hardest.
Lilly will NEVER be the same, and it’s all because of a legally required vaccine.
Here is a video reminder of Lilly at her worst.
