I joke pretty often about having the best coworkers. Canine ones, that is. They don’t gossip. They don’t take part in office politics. They don’t criticize my work. Sure, they do interrupt me. They are noisy when I’m trying to do phone interviews. They do occasionally smell bad. But, I wouldn’t trade them for anything. They do require, however, some foot- and rolling-chair-related caution. So, I constantly Mind the Snout.
For perspective, here is a wide-angle shot.
I wasn’t sure when I got new office furniture, if Lilly would be OK with the more open format. My original desk had a much more den-like space underneath. Still, what she gave up in safe space, Lilly gained in comfort thanks to a dog bed and the warm sun.
Aren’t our furry ones great co-workers!? I love your desk, looks so cozy, and I think Lilly loves it!
Looks like you have some very comfy little spots in your home, just right for a pup to snuggle into.
Hmmm… that’s pretty much what my desk looks like. Clutter makes me anxious and unproductive.
In college, my dorm room was on the campus tour because they knew it would always be tidy.
I only keep what I’m working on in the moment on my desk. The rest goes into a basket with file holders on the floor.
Okay, did you just clean off your desktop for the photo or does it always look that uncluttered? So jealous.. I should take a photo of my desk at work. Scary!
Lilly looks so content. And I agree that dogs make great coworkers. Although Java does have a tendency to keep shoving her ball into my lap.
I like the new set up. Looks like Lilly does, too.
