Kidnapped Dogs BOLO

UPDATE June 13, 2022 -- The FBI arrested the suspect in San Antonio. The 3 dogs + the litter of 8 puppies born since the kidnapping were found safe and have been reunited with their owner / handler.

!! Please BE On the LOOK OUT for these kidnapped dogs!! Three weeks ago, on May 12, 2022, a nightmare scenario unfolded for Dr. Kim Lark, who is a friend of a friend. Despite her vigilant efforts to keep them safe, all 3 of her dogs -- all highly trained in search and rescue, one of them VERY pregnant -- got kidnapped in Carlsbad, New Mexico, by her ex. Law enforcement considers the suspect armed and dangerous. Look for the full backstory, media coverage of the crime (including by an investigative producer with NBC News / Dateline), and latest updates at SaveKimsDogs.com. Dr. Lark is offering a $50,000 reward for the safe return of the 3 dogs and the litter of puppies. Please be on the lookout for these dogs and the suspect. They could be anywhere by now.  #savekimsdogs

Kidnapped Dogs #2 - Female Border Collie Named Zero

Zero was VERY pregnant at the time of the crime, literally due any day.

Assuming she whelped them safely after being kidnapped, everyone hopes she is with the litter and nursing the puppies.

Kidnapped Dogs #4-?? - Border Collie Puppies

Assuming Zero safely whelped her litter while on the run, the border collie puppies would be about 2 weeks old now (June 2, 2022). They'll be ~ 8 weeks old in mid-July 2022.

The suspect also broke into Dr. Larks home and took things, including perhaps pedigree information on the kidnapped dogs and litter, so the puppies might come with "papers."

Let's not assume the suspect and any accomplices (unwitting or otherwise) will wait to sell the puppies until they are old enough to legally transfer ownership -- which is between 6-8 weeks, depending on the state.

Keep an eye out for any suspicious litters starting now and through the summer.

**

May all of these kidnapped dogs be found soon and safe.

I’ve been watching the news about this and it breaks my heart. I hope they catch this SOB and, more importantly, get all the dogs and puppies back.
