A new treat vendor we like
One of the problems with boutique dog bakeries is that the food, while super wholesome, rarely comes in training treat sizes. So, imagine my joy at meeting Judy Strickland at the pet expo over the weekend. Her treats do some in tiny pieces suitable for near-constant rewards … like what I need for Lilly. I usually make my own training food, but sometimes I get busy.
And, frankly, we go through A LOT of training food. I forgot to mention it in the Weekly Training Update (April 18), but I went through a quart-size Ziplock bag full of food to keep Lilly focused and working despite a barrage of fear-inducing things.
So, here’s another product recommendation. Check out Callie’s Barkery for treats that can be shipped.
She also has reasonably priced gift baskets that look suitable for raffles or event prizes … except, SHOOT! they’re only available for local delivery. I wonder if you begged…
When I mentioned how hard it is to find training sized food, Judy said, “Well, I have friends who do agility and asked for smaller treats.”
Great minds think alike!
Happy pooch snacking…
