It’s a common refrain in agility circles: volunteer at events and earn free rewards. Often, it’s merely a lunch coupon for whatever food vendor happens to be working the site, but once in a while, you can also earn trial vouchers that save $25 or whatever off the entry fee. Considering our non-competitive status for several years now, my collection such coupons became part of our ongoing act of faith that some day I would use them. While sorting through files Monday, however, I made a sorry realization.
Some of the vouchers have expired or will soon. And, those without expiration dates are non-transferable.
See … I’d always assumed that if I didn’t use the vouchers, then I could give them to long-suffering dog friends, who’ve remained staunch supporters through the years of struggle in Lilly’s agility training.
It appears that is NOT the case.
