Lilly and I support “Join the Paws,” a coalition raising money to help wildlife affected by the oil spill in the gulf via the National Wildlife Federation.

The effort began as the brainchild of:

I could easily post devastating photos of wildlife affected by the oil, but I personally am super sensitive to such images, so I won’t be that dramatic for all of our sakes.

The risks of immediate and long-term impact, however, are tremendous. Everything from birds and fish to sea turtles and dolphins are in danger … and will be for quite some time.

The NWF is reporting 29 dead dolphins and 227 dead sea turtles in the oil spill area.

3. Help spread the word. Details on the best ways to do that.
