Someday, I may try some freestyle classes because I do love the videos of dogs dancing. It looks so complicated, though, that I wonder if Lilly and I have what it takes. Still, I can’t help wondering how cute she would look. In the car the other day, I got to thinking about what songs Lilly might dance to. One song in particular seems appropriate.
It’s that Elvis song “A little less conversation.” I know it’s really about something else, but read these lyrics as if sung by an impatient border collie.
A little less conversation, a little more action please
All this aggravation ain’t satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me
Satisfy me baby
Baby close your eyes and listen to the music
Drifting through a summer breeze
It’s a groovy night and I can show you how to use it
Come along with me and put your mind at ease
A little less conversation, a little more action please
All this aggravation ain’t satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me
Satisfy me baby
Come on baby I’m tired of talking
Grab your coat and let’s start walking
Come on, come on
Come on, come on
Come on, come on
Don’t procrastinate, don’t articulate
Girl it’s getting late, gettin’ upset waitin’ around
A little less conversation, a little more action please
All this aggravation ain’t satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me
Satisfy me baby
So, with the holiday weekend approaching, entertain me. What would your dog’s theme song be and why?
Oh, fun question. Let’s see. We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and her theme songs would be any of the “Love Me Do” (Beatles) type of songs. Or the Prince song “Take Me With U.”
We have a new dog–a border collie also! But a mix. The rescue organization isn’t quite sure what the mix is, maybe Australian sheepherding. We’ve only had her for two days, but she’s so mellow and sweet…hmmm…a good song for her would be “Peaceful Easy Feeling” from the Eagles.
Sorry about that. I forgot to excerpt the first part, so the whole thing shows up here. Oops.
