  1. I lost my heart dog Zoe one month ago. I have never known a greater pain. Your book described my relationship with my beloved Zoe. Thank you for giving me the understanding that I’m “normal” and I will live with this grief forever but I will live. I have feel isolated even suicidal over my loss. I am seeing a psychologist. I made the difficult decision to euthanize. You book took away much of the guilt I carried with that decision. Zoe became sick and was hospalitized her last eight days. I tried everything resulting in a hefty vet bill that I do not regret. I only wish something would have worked . I decided to end her suffering as it became obvious that she was declining and in great discomfort. The vet only gave us 2 months but I taught like heck to have that precious time. She taught too. She survived a level 6 heart murmur for 3 years that seemed to baffle the vets when she actually became better . I can only believe that my heart dog fraught to stay with me as long as she could. We had just short of 14 magical years together. Thank you for your book.
