Our friends at Be the Change for Animals have designated today, July 23, 2012, as “Bloggers Unite for Dog Rescue.” We missed the chance to take part officially in the hoopla with a post on July 15, but we’re playing along anyway with news of a Shine a Light on a Shelter $10,000 grant for one lucky animal shelter / rescue group (from Purina ONE Beyond and GOOD magazine). Winning Shelter: Gets $10,000 grant from Purina ONE Beyond and GOOD
Winning Submitter: Gets a year’s worth of pet food and a one-year subscription to GOOD magazine
Submission Tips include the following:
- You’ll need a GOOD account to nominate a shelter and to vote.
- They want you to include a photo or video that represents your shelter. Photos should be in JPG, PNG, or GIF format, at least 570 × 345 pixels and no larger than 10MB. To include a video, use a YouTube URL.
- In your nomination, please describe the shelter and how its team is working to change perceptions and find more homes for shelter animals.
How cool of Purina to offer such a nice donation! Hope a really deserving shelter gets the dough. Oh wait, what am I saying – ALL groups that save our animal friends are deserving!
