FREE e-book "8 Things to Know About Veterinary Care"

December 24, 2011

Rather than cutting down a great tree and bringing it indoors for the Yule season, we choose instead to decorate one on our land. We planted this tree many years ago. Boy, has it grown? I’ll need to buy more lights next year. Here are a few holiday decor pix from the girls of Champion of My Heart.

It’s amazing what a couple days and a couple feet of snow does to the tree.

Even though, I have a big plastic tub of decorations. This year, we only put a few out on the fireplace.

Today is our one full day of just the 4 of us at home. I’ve planned an olive, crusted lamb roast, Marsala mushrooms, and a roasted root veggie salad for dinner.

Lilly and I send our best wishes to all of you.

Ho ho ho!

  1. I meant to come see the beautiful tree sooner, but forgot! It really is quite lovely Roxanne. Although, the snows seems to have ruined the ambience a bit. 🙂

I didn’t put up a tree this year either. Too much going on.

  2. Sweet tree & such a good idea to keep it growing instead of cutting it down.

    Merry (late) Christmas!
