HOT NEWS! I won one of two grand prizes in the BlogPaws sweepstakes to attend this new pet blogger conference. The event team and sponsors will cover my airfare, hotel, and registration. And, it’s about the best news I’ve had in a long, long time. Three cheers for me!
I’ve known about BlogPaws for a while now thanks to About Vet Med, who is a colleague over at my new paid blog (Dog Food Dish). I wanted to attend, but with everything going on here since July with all the family medical drama, I waited and waited and waited to register. One day, I would think, “Oh, I’m just going to book everything.” The next, I’d worry that perhaps I shouldn’t go, shouldn’t spend the money, etc.
So, when the conference organizers offered a way to WIN the trip, I figured I would leave it up to fate and entered the BlogPaws or Bust Sweepstakes:
And, wouldn’t you know it? My fairy blogmother made my wish come true.
In this case, Caroline from Romeo The Cat played the wand-waving role. Thank you, my new friend. Thank you. I could NOT be more excited to attend because this particular girl could certainly use a little getaway.
So, while I don’t think I’m a slouch on ye olde blogging front, I look forward to picking up a few tips to make things around here at Champion of My Heart even better … like, say, finally getting that book deal?
So glad you won one of the trips. I was one of the lucky ones to win registration to BlogPaws. I can’t wait to meet all the people I have connected with online. See you there.
Thanks, AmyJo. I’ll see you Friday.
Roxanne, congratulations! I’m delighted for you and me because I will get to see you there. I just learned last night from Tom that I’m being sponsored to attend by Pedigree. It was like a little manna from heaven 🙂
That’s terrific, Deborah. I’ll see you there.
Thanks, Janet. I’m super excited too. Looking forward to mtg everyone in Columbus.
Hey Roxanne! I am sooo thrilled that you won, that your schedule permits a trip to blogpaws, and we can meet. I talked to Caroline/Romeo last night, and she is very excited too.
It is going to be a blast!
Congratulations! I can’t wait to hear all about it. It sounds like a very interesting event and a good blog to follow and learn from.
Susan, I’ll definitely ask Edie, but something makes me think she had the book deal first, blog later.
Sam, you are too funny. I know things back East are close together, but I doubt it’s that close. :o)
That’s awesome. Congratulations!! Do you think you can swing by NYC since you’re heading this way? 😉
I hope you have a great time. You definitely deserve a getaway!
Re the book deal: Edie Jarolim might be a good person to talk to about that.
