On our walk up to the road to get today’s mail, we spotted our bridge snake friend sunning himself on the rocks. Neither Lilly or Ginko noticed him because we were playing fetch on our way out. On the way back, I told Ginko it was dinnertime, and I asked Lilly to SIDE (which means cross in front of me and move to the other heel side). Once we got both pups in the house, happily eating dinner, Tom went back out to see if the bull snake seemed OK, after Lilly winged him into the pasture on Sunday. He seems fine. Here is proof.

Glad Lilly crossed over and didn’t go ‘snake-flinging’ again.
I saw a bull snake on our trip; of course, it was one of the few times I didn’t have my camera. Oh, well, he/she looked a lot like this one in your picture..haha.
Ha! That is so true. Sometimes he curls up under a loose rock, and only his head sticks out. And, obviously, he has snake tunnels or something into the surrounding dirt, where he lives.
“No snakes here! Nobody here but us grout lines!”
I bet snakes are probably pretty resilient as far as crash landings. The snake does look pretty cool in the rocks like that, as long as it’s not a poisonous one.
Cool critter. Glad he’s OK after Lilly so mercilessly flung him!
