Rather than write a single comprehensive dog product review of the ThunderShirt, I’m going to write a series of reports over time so that, together, we can work through the ups and downs for our fearful canine heroine.
After last Friday’s post, where I first raised the question of ThunderShirt expectations and results, a helpful discussion got underway both in the blog comments section and on our Champion of My Heart Facebook Fan Page. During my recent tour of the KONG headquarters and factory in Golden, Colorado, our friends there gave me a KONG Squeaker, which is essentially a classic KONG made from their puppy-strength rubber with a squeaker inside.

December 9, I attended the ASPCA $100K Save More Lives Challenge celebration at Humane Society of Boulder Valley. As a thank you to supporters, the humane society offered 10% off a toy purchase from its onsite store. So, even though I’d already ordered several new food delivery toys for Lilly and Ginko, I got one more toy. A rattlesnake, of all things.

Before I ever saw this alligator in person, I named it one of my top dog toy picks for 2009 holiday gift giving because the idea of ONE toy having 16 squeakers cracks me up. Even the tag says, “This toy may drive you crazy, but your dog will love it!”

In our BlogPaws Schwag Report, you might recall seeing one of those dog puzzle toys. I’ve been dying to try one with Lilly, so here is our dog product review via video. Honestly, I’m a little bummed. Lilly doesn’t seem super excited about this toy, compared to others. I thought she would LOVE it.
