FREE e-book "8 Things to Know About Veterinary Care"

May 13, 2015

For a large breed dog, 15 is downright ancient. It has always been our goal for Ginko, though. He is officially the oldest dog I’ve ever had. With 3 potentially fatal health conditions, our time with him could be short. Or not. Today? We simply celebrate our handsome, sweet, goofy Old Man! Happy birthday, buddy. Here are 8 GREAT photos of Ginko!

Ginko was the cutest puppy! That’s what Lab + Greyhound looks like.

I don’t have any digital photos of Ginko and our late Dalmatian Penelope Grace. They were together July 2000 until June 2004.

In his prime, he was all MUSCLE, and an amazing hiking buddy.

I don't just love dogs. I need them in my life. Seriously.

  1. Happy happy birthday, Ginko! You look as handsome and distinguished as ever! You’ve had an exciting and fun life with fun fur sisters, and it’s continuing with your latest best buddy Clover!

  2. Aw, happy birthday Gingko! It’s nice to be able to see the course of nature run in this way — the difficulties of old age and the sadness of departure, yes, but without the stress of a beloved dog taken before her/his time.

  3. Happy Birthday, Ginko! The puppy photo is adorable, but I’m partial to grizzled old muzzles. The sweetness in his expression makes my heart melt.
