These wild daisy-like flowers seem to shower Lilly with adoration. In truth, they lean toward the morning sun … which from this vantage point is behind where Lilly sits.
I’ve never read Hemmingway’s first novel — The Sun Also Rises, but I found these quotes which seem so appropriate for our lives:
- “I can’t stand it to think my life is going so fast and I’m not really living it.”
- “You can’t get away from yourself by moving from one place to another.”
I had to laugh when one site described the book as being “novel of disillusionment.”
Who isn’t disillusioned once in a while,? I ask. But, like these flowers, like our amazing canine heroine … we keep going for love and companionship.
I love that picture of Lilly. I hope you will have many more pictures of her doing this and many other things.
Absolutely beautiful photo. 🙂
Great photo! It does indeed look like they are adoring her! As is her due…
I like that … Lilly and the Flowers. They do her justice.
What a beautiful photo! I’ve never read the novel either, but this quote is how I feel from time to time.
“I can’t stand it to think my life is going so fast and I’m not really living it.”
Looks like yet another lovely photo in the Lilly and Flowers series. 🙂
