FREE e-book "8 Things to Know About Veterinary Care"

October 26, 2011

I hate autumn. It’s my least favorite time of year, often steeped in angst and frustration. This year, however, autumn has been glorious, and if a girl like me says that, then you know it has been amazing. A couple weeks ago, I did an impromptu photo shoot of Lilly amid our fall foliage.

Homage to KB from Romping & Rolling in the Rockies, who often poses with her front feet on various natural features

Full disclosure: I cheated just a little and played fetch with Lilly before taking any photos so that she would “smile” more.

I look at these photos and nearly burst with love. Truly. I love Lilly more every day, and I just cannot imaging loving a dog more than I love Lilly.

  1. Ah, beautiful photos. It was a glorious autumn, and I’m glad that you and Lilly enjoyed a slice of it together in the sun.

Love the “paws propped” photo. It’s funny – my K now searches for something to put her paws onto when I take out the camera 🙂

  2. I found this link via Twitter and had to click. 🙂 We miss our border collie so much — he’s hanging out with family back in the U.S. as we travel for the next year or two abroad. He’s also a fearful/nervous dog, but so affectionate and loving and clever!

Your Lilly looks beautiful; thanks for sharing the photos!

  3. Just beautiful. I’m not fond of fall myself but sharing it with Lilly does make it better, doesn’t it?

The “smiles” really made it, too.
