Happy Tails Books honored me and Lilly with an invitation to be included in a new book called 15 Great Pet Blogs … and their most memorable posts. Through the end of June, Champion of My Heart readers can use a special discount code for $2 off the book’s purchase.
15 Great Pet Blogs is 128 pages and sells for $12.95. Like all of the books published by Happy Tails, at least 25% of net profits from 15 Great Pet Blogs will be donated back to the rescue of the buyer’s choice.
Simply enter this code at checkout to receive your discount: blogbuddy2
Fans and friends might recall that the book’s editor / publisher Kyla Duffy is the ring-leader behind the nationwide tour of “Don’t Kill Bill,” a multimedia performance art event from Kyla’s nonprofit organization called Up for Pups. It’s designed to educate people about the horrors of puppy mills and to encourage adoption from animal rescue groups. Money raised from the events support the research and publication of a best-practices manual for animal rescue groups.
15 Great Pet Blogs Giveaway!
Each contributing author also gets to give away one FREE ebook version of 15 Great Pet Blogs.
Since getting to write for 15 Great Pet Blogs moves me and Lilly one step closer to our blog-to-book publishing goals, we’re going to use this opportunity to our advantage. (Hey, at least I’m being honest about it!)
Champion of My Heart needs more Facebook Fans.
So, to enter for a chance to win a random drawing for the free ebook version of 15 Great Pet Blogs, please LIKE our Champion of My Heart Facebook Fan page, then post a comment, letting us know you’re “in.”
You can do that by visiting our Champion of My Heart Facebook Fan page or by clicking LIKE in the Facebook toolbar in our right-hand sidebar —>
For those of you longtime, loyal readers, if you’ve already LIKE’d us on Facebook, just post a comment that you’ve been a FAN forever, and that’ll count as an entry too.
(One entry per person, of course.)
Giveaway entries CLOSE at midnight (mountain time) Friday, June 24, 2011. Then, I’ll number the comments and use Random.org to choose a winner. (Be sure to include a valid email address when you post your comment, so that I can alert you, if you win.)
And, if you’re wondering why a LIKE via Facebook is fun, just know that I often share articles, ideas, and day-to-day hoohah that might not make it into the blog. It’s sort of like a mini-blog, discussion area thing. I know it’s hard to find time for everything online, but if you’re already an active Facebook user, it’s another fun place to connect.

While it will not count toward this giveaway, Lilly and I would appreciate your help on one other front. Please nominate Champion of My Heart as Best Dog Blog. (bonus love and gratitude to those who get family and friends to do the same)
