Not a lot of fa la la la in my barely decked halls. (Tom put a few lights on one tree outside Friday.) With all the sadness and worry here, there is little ripeness of holiday spirit so far. BUT, I really needed to get some cookies made — both to give away and for us. So, this friends is how one girl and one loyal dog made 9 dozen cookies in under 2 hours the Saturday before the big paintball scare. (Keep in mind: These pizzelles require an iron that makes just 2 cookies at a time).
The plan was to post this last Wednesday, but … as you know … something else came up.
Y’know, I bet just about now, Lilly is really sorry she didn’t snarf down 130 cookies instead of 130 paintball pellets.
And I bet you are too!
You’re experience with Lilly makes the chewed socks and even the (2) chewed sofas (Agatha and Christie tag teamed that) seem like a pretty small incident.
Here’s to a boring holiday!
Well, the living room area rug is ruined. Does that make you feel any better, Pamela?
Yay! I love pizzelles but have never invested in an iron of my own.
You must have the patience of a saint – 2 cookies at a time? Must have taken you hours!
And yes, I’d love to meet up if there is time while you’re in NY. Let me know when you have more info!
They are beautiful Roxanne. Have a very Merry and Relaxing Christmas!
These look yummy, Roxanne!
