In our BlogPaws Schwag Report, you might recall seeing one of those dog puzzle toys. I’ve been dying to try one with Lilly, so here is our dog product review via video. Honestly, I’m a little bummed. Lilly doesn’t seem super excited about this toy, compared to others. I thought she would LOVE it.

We’ve graduated now, where I leave the holes with pegs without treats and instead put the food in the other holes so that Lilly must not only remove the pegs but also spin the wheel or shake the base enough to get the treats out.

This gift from Kyjen.com was indeed free. I believe all the Best Dog Blog Finalists got one. Our pals from Boulder Dog posted their own video earlier this week. I’m under no obligation to post this. I just wanted to.
My Dexter has this (from his BlogPaws Denver goodie bag) and he decided the best way to get the treats out was to tip it over. Smart cookie. LOL Great review here!
Kelly got one too, a different brand. She more or less just knocks things over randomly looking for food.
I also wanted to tell you that I gave you an award over at my blog.
So cute! I think Lilly caught on very quickly. It’s also fun to see how her snout fits perfectly into each hole. And she obviously was enjoying the process. This made me smile…
I think those puzzle things are such a good idea. I really need to get one for my dogs… or 2 I guess so they don’t maim each other.
🙂
What a smart dog. I am actually surprised that she figured it out so quickly. I was worried about the pieces being too slick for dogs to remove, but Lilly figured it out.
We just got in all three of the Kyjen Dog Games. There is no doubt that the Nina Ottosson puzzles are higher quality. However, these are great introductory dog puzzles so you can see if you and your dog enjoy them.
Go Lilly! There’s more than one way to solve a puzzle 🙂
