It’s official. I am now blogging for both fun and profit. OK, maybe not profit, profit, but for a client and for a fee. Each Wednesday, if you so choose, you can see my latest post on dog food and nutrition over at the newly launched Dog Food Dish Blog for K9Cuisine.com. There is a whole page in the sidebar that explains what’s what, but I wanted to post here as well.

This development is exciting (and good for my career) for two reasons:

1) Traditional media gigs are getting more scarce by the minute. I still have plenty of print outlet clients, but a girl needs to diversify.

2) I got this gig via Twitter. Yes, Twitter. We have a whole line up of writers for K9 Chronicles. I encourage you to check out my friends’ new blogs as well:

So, for all those people who still believe that social networking is a waste of time or just plain silly, I present myself as an example. A girl can get real, paying work from the relationships she forms online.

My plan, as long as family demands remain at a simmer (versus a boil), is to continue blogging here at Champion of My Heart five or six days a week (if I can manage the time and energy to resume my Dog Adoption Fantasy on Saturdays).

Hey! Like the new design, but I guess it is no longer automatically updating on the sidebar of my blog, when you post new content here. So I didn’t see that you had made new posts, and hadn’t stopped by. I’m not sure if there is something I can do on my end to fix that…

Dog-geek – you can try removing ChOMH from your blog list and then recreate it. I’ve done that whenever things got funky with any of my stuff.

Roxanne, I sure will be stopping by to see your work on the K9 Chronicles blog. What an awesome position you got!

Makes me think that maybe I should get on Twitter.. you probably remember my literally two-minute stint on that site back in the Spring.

Thanks. I wondered if the change would screw up more than I realized. Try clicking on the Subscribe to RSS in the wooden header above to see if that gives you a way to keep the feed alive on your site.

Or, maybe if you delete the feed, then recreate it on your site it will “find” my new feed?

Can’t wait to read more from you. Love the new web design.

Love the new look, Roxanne!

Great work on the new CoMH site. It looks great!

Looking forward to checking out K9 cuisine as well. Networking sure is imperative in the freelance world these days. I’m glad you found an online gig that fits.

You’re going places with your pet blogging, Roxanne! I love seeing great things happen to good people. Congrats!
