Once I realized late in 2008 that my incredible puppy cravings stemmed from a need for a feeling of possibility, my deep-down ache for a puppy subsided. Still, I doesn’t mean I cannot lust from afar. Look at these photos of Anna Bettina Johnson’s (a lovely dog person I met on Twitter) new mastiff puppy, who is currently being fostered in rescue along with his mom and littermates via a volunteer for Big Dogs Huge Paws.
You can click through to read their sad story, but basically, his mom (Miley) was left at a shelter at 8 months old for being A) too big and B ) quite pregnant. Just a baby herself, I hear she is doing a great job being a new mom.
On a Monday, I figured a little vicarious puppy lust might be due.
Yep. He’s only 2 weeks old in the last photo. That’s a BIG pup.
Anna has other mastiffs, though, so she knows what she is in for in terms of final size.
Oh my. I’d better not look at cute puppy pictures or I’ll have a house full of puppies!
Wow, how adorable are they?! I know they will be ‘large’ when fully grown; but, they are so darn cute. Thanks for sharing the pictures and story.
