The Full Relax-y
In the grand history of the Relaxation Protocol, there are tales of dogs melting into the ground. Heads down, faces relaxed, they settle in no matter what. Well, with Lilly, that never happened. I had to reward the tip of the hip and ask for it. I had to specifically shape putting her head down. We call this training tool slash trick CHIN! Here's a video of the finished product.

I enjoyed your video. Has Lilly imitated that command on her own now, and begun to learn to relax? She's such a smart dog!

I shaped Strum to lie his head on the ground too. It's very cute when he does it to get attention.
I like the eye blinks she gives you at the end, if I remember you were rewarding her for blinking at some point way back when.

You're right. I did try to shape eye-blinking when we were first teaching the protocol, but I never did name it because my voice would jolt her too much. I just physically cue it by blinking at her, and she blinks back. Sometimes, when she's really tired, I can blink her all the way down, and she keeps her eyes closed. It's very sweet.
